Trade Capacity Building refers to equipping trade and economic operators with the various skills and capabilities required for full and effective participation in trade and related initiatives and systems and reap the benefits they offer.
ECOWAS has initiatives aimed at building the capacity of its Member States to enable them benefit more from the multilateral trading system and also to enhance their ability to trade effectively. Such initiatives include Aid for Trade and Trade Negotiations Capacity Building (TNCB).
